• A brief History of the Department

  The four year Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education (B.A.B.Ed. Integrated) course started in 1975 in our college. The department of geography established with the start of this course. In the initial stage, education course was not much popularized but within few years it attached the students from all over Maharashtra. In the beginning, this course struggled a lot of the strength of students the qualified teaching staff. The department of geography faced the same problems.

  Mrs. M. S. Phadnis, the former Head of the department of this department, shouldered the responsibility successfully and contributed a lot in the development of this department. She encouraged the teaching staff members in improving their academic qualifications. Under her able guidance the department got good stability.

  Dr. P. S. Patil and Dr. B A. Ajagekar, both former head contributed to geography with research and teaching. And they also improved the geography department in their whole service period in this college.

  Meanwhile, the other teachers in the department improved their academic qualification. At this stage, the department has achieved a good success in the qualification development of the department.

  •  To practicval training to the students to make skilled human resource.
